Jennie first started with the Finch Windmill, a device designed to improve arm strength and conditioning at age 10. As a high schooler, she threw six no-hitters and 13 games that were perfect. She then went on to University of Arizona, where as a pitcher, and a first baseman, she was all-time All-American three times. The year 2001 was the year her Wildcats team was awarded the title of National Champion In 2002, she was awarded the National Championship title. she won with the Honda Award for the best softballer in the country. Wounded Warriors amputee softball (WWAST), a team consisting of amputees who have a purpose to increase awareness and collect funds through shows, star softball teams and other events which highlight the strength and sacrifices of our soldiers and their families and how they can overcome every obstacle. Their goal is to showcase to other amputees that these athletes with a rigorous rehabilitation program and training, can to perform and play the sport they enjoy.
